Electing women to impact our political future.
Vail Women Elect is a local giving group formed in March 2016 to support candidates for President, Senate and Governor. Our preference is for Democratic Women who support reproductive rights, however, we support other candidates (male, non-Democrat, and Colorado State and US Office).
Our Purpose
Vail Women Elect harnesses the collective power of women to support female candidates. Our goal is to increase participation in the political process by building communities of people who come together to contribute to women running for office.
Candidates
We conduct background research on potential candidates and select who to support based on the relevant political climate. We consider how the candidate drives change and advances the progressive agenda. Our preference is for moderate Democrats that represent their constituency and can work on a bi-partisan basis.
